The Meadows Short Break Centre offers adults with learning disabilities and autism the perfect opportunity to step away from daily routines and experience something special — a break that’s not just a rest, but a chance to grow, connect, and have fun, supported in a safe and friendly environment

Whether it’s for a weekend or just a day, The Meadows is full of exciting possibilities. Individuals can explore new interests, build friendships, and take part in activities that inspire confidence and independence. From outings to the theatre, beach or cinema, to creative sessions like cooking, crafting, or dancing at the disco — there’s always something happening!

Our team is passionate, experienced, and dedicated to supporting and empowering every individual to live the life they choose. Families and carers benefit too, gaining valuable time to relax, recharge, or take a holiday, knowing their loved ones are supported in a safe, welcoming, and well-equipped environment.

The Meadows is a modern, spacious four-bedroom two storey building, fully refurbished for comfort and accessibility. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and ground-floor rooms include hoisting facilities for those who need them. Inside, you’ll find a calm, homely atmosphere — with spaces to relax, socialise, learn and create. From smartboards and sensory areas to games, movies, and more, there’s plenty to enjoy.

We celebrate the seasons and special events through the year, including our much-loved New Year’s Day party — creating memories through shared meals, music, decorations, and themed activities.
