Short Breaks Local Offer
Who we are
Empowering Families, Enriching Lives
As a provider we are able to offer support under Hertfordshire’s Short Breaks Local Offer (SBLO) which provides children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) opportunities to engage in enjoyable activities, supporting independence and social interaction. These breaks also offer parents and carers valuable time to rest, knowing their child is in a supportive environment.
Eligible families can access up to 40 hours of short breaks per year, encompassing a range of activities such as holiday sessions, weekend sessions, and community opportunities. These services are co-produced with families to ensure they meet diverse needs and preferences hours can be provided as a standalone offer or as part of combined offer with other short breaks support.
For those requiring additional support beyond the standard offer of 40 hours a social care assessment through the 0–25 Together Service can determine eligibility for extended services.
